Terms & Safety
Please read these before using Coin Collector.
1. What Coin Collector is
Coin Collector is a catalogue and community board for collectors of UK coins. It is not a shop, auction house, broker, valuer or payment service.
We never take part in any sale or trade between collectors and never hold money or coins on anyone's behalf.
2. Buying, selling and trading at your own risk
Any sale, swap or trade arranged through Coin Collector is solely between the collectors involved and is entirely at their own risk.
We do not inspect, grade, value or authenticate coins, and we make no promise that any listing, photo or description is accurate.
We accept no responsibility for lost or damaged post, counterfeit or misdescribed coins, non-payment, non-delivery, or any dispute or loss arising from a trade.
3. Protect your personal details
Never share bank details, card numbers, PINs, passwords or identity documents with anyone you meet through the app.
Do not put your home address, phone number or other personal details in your profile, coin notes or public listings.
Only share a delivery address once a trade is agreed and you are confident the other collector is genuine.
Coin Collector will never message you asking for your password or payment details.
4. Trading safely
Where possible, use a payment method with buyer protection, such as PayPal Goods and Services.
Use tracked and insured postage for valuable coins and keep proof of postage.
If you meet in person, meet in a busy public place and tell someone where you are going.
5. Selling plans
Selling plans are paid yearly to the site owner by PayPal and are activated once payment is checked. A plan only allows you to list coins; it does not make us part of any sale.
6. Your conduct
Be honest and respectful. Do not list coins you do not own, post misleading photos, harass other collectors or use the app for anything unlawful. We may remove content or accounts that break these rules.
7. Changes
We may update these terms from time to time. Continuing to use Coin Collector means you accept the latest version.
